Known for its outdoor basketball courts, Mallard Junction is the place to go to shoot some hoops.
The park also features a baseball field, walking track, and playground. If you’re more into rest and relaxation, barbecue pits and covered pavilions are located throughout the park for residents' convenience.
Located just off of Opelousas Street in Lake Charles is the peaceful haven called Mallard Junction Park. The park features a number of amenities, including an outdoor pavilion with a barbecue pit, covered picnic tables with barbecue pits for family or events, playgrounds, a basketball court, a baseball field and a walking track.
The open-air pavilion with electricity and a barbecue pit is available for park goers. There is no rental charge for this pavilion and reservations are not required. Use of this facility is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
