Calcasieu Parish Wastewater Department manages three different water districts in our Parish which are:
- Waterworks District Two of Ward Four (Mossville)
- Waterworks District Five of Wards Three and Eight (Mallard Junction - East and Southeast of Lake Charles)
- Waterworks District Twelve of Ward Three (Big Lake - South Lake Charles Area)
- Waterworks District Eight of Wards Three and Eight (LeBleu Settlement)
BILLING POLICIES
- Payment must be received by due date. A 10% late fee will be added to all accounts not paid in full by 3 p.m. on the due date.
- If account is not paid in full by 3 p.m. the Monday following the due date, a $30 delinquent fee will be added and services will be subject to disconnect the following day.
- No personal checks are accepted on delinquent accounts.
- Only cash, money orders, or debit/credit card payments are accepted to avoid disconnection of service.
- Check your meter reading before calling for re-read to avoid $15 service charge.
- Due dates are subject to change; please refer to payment stub for actual dates.
- Return for NSF will be $25 per item and $30 for credit or debit cards per transaction and will result in disconnection of services.
- Failure to receive a bill does not exempt you from monthly payment, late charges, additional fees or disconnection.
- Credit card transactions are limited to $2,500 per entity per day.
METER LOCKS
It is a violation of Louisiana Law to cut meter locks or otherwise tamper with meters. Violators will be fined and prosecuted.
2024 Water District Grades
Act 98 of the 2021 Louisiana Legislature's regular session authorized the Louisiana Department of Health Safe Drinking Water Program to develop a grade for community water system accountability. LDH determines letter grades based on seven set standards evaluating the infrastructure, accountability, and over all health risk of drinking water to consumers.

Lead Service Line Inventory
In 2021, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) revised the Lead and Copper Rule requiring public water suppliers to conduct a Lead Service Line Inventory, notify the customer of any known or potential lead service lines, a public notification of a lead level exceedance.
