Rob Stanford was sworn in as the new District 7 Calcasieu Parish Police Juror during the June 4, 2026 Regular Meeting.

Stanford currently serves as the General Manager at Million Air Lake Charles, located at Chennault International Airport. Prior to joining the Police Jury, Stanford worked for 35 years in antiterrorism/force protection, law enforcement, mission assurance, emergency management, and security roles in various locations. He served 23 years in the United States Marine Corps and is involved in several local and veterans’ organizations, including the Mayor’s Armed Forces Committee, the Marine Corps League, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion.

Stanford earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Drake University, a Master of Military Studies from Marine Corps University, and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.

Rob is a member of the Sale Street Baptist Church, and in his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing golf, grilling, and hunting and fishing.

Stanford resides in Lake Charles and is married to the former Laura Smith. They have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
