Brian Abshire is serving his third term representing District 5 for the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury. He was elected Police Jury President in 2021 and 2026, and served as Vice President in 2020. 

Abshire, who is SWLA Market President at Investar Bank, is active in the community, volunteers his time with various civic and volunteer organizations, and has held leadership positions in many of them. He is married to Tiffany Lewis and is the father of Mason, Connor, and Shelby, and is stepfather to Cassie. The couple has one granddaughter, Ella.

Abshire is actively involved at First United Methodist Church and St. Louis Catholic High School, where his children attend. In his spare time, he enjoys spending his time with his wife, children, friends, and playing tennis.
