At its Jan. 8 Regular Meeting, the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury elected Brian Abshire as its 2026 President and Randy Burleigh as its Vice President.
Abshire is serving his third term representing District 5 for the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury. He was elected Police Jury Vice President in 2020 and President in 2021.
Abshire, who is SWLA Market President at Investar Bank, is married to Tiffany Lewis. He is the father of three children – Mason, Connor, and Shelby and stepfather to Cassie. The couple has one granddaughter, Ella. Abshire is actively involved at First United Methodist Church and St. Louis Catholic High School, where his children attend.
“I’m honored to have the trust and confidence of my fellow Police Jurors,” Abshire said. “Together, we will continue working hard to serve our Parish and make decisions that reflect the best interests of the people we represent.”
Burleigh, who is retired from Sasol Chemicals USA, is serving his second term representing District 14. He and his wife, Keri, are lifelong residents of Westlake. They have four children and ten grandchildren.
