The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury’s TRIAD Network will host a free “Lunch and Learn” workshops for residents on Monday, Nov. 10 at the Iowa Community Center, 207 W. U.S. 90 in Iowa from 9 a.m. – noon.
The workshop will both focus on topics such as Medicare updates and scams, holiday safety and how to cope with holiday stress.
Lunch will be provided.
This event is hosted by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury’s Human Services Department and Calcasieu Parish TRIAD, a partnership between the Police Jury, Sheriff’s Office, District Attorney, City Marshal, and City of Lake Charles. TRIAD identifies and develops programs to address the needs and concerns of senior citizens to reduce their chances of becoming victims of crimes, as well as provide educational opportunities to enhance seniors’ quality of life.
