- Police Jury Elects New President, Vice President for 2026 At its Jan. 8 Regular Meeting, the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury elected Brian Abshire as its 2026 President and Randy Burleigh as its Vice President.
- Intracoastal Park Boat Launch to Close Due to Construction The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Facility Management Department will close the boat launch at Intracoastal Park temporarily from 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11 through 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12 due to construction.
